Privacy policy
This is short because the site does very little. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from any other company's servers. Everything below can be checked from your own browser.
On this page
Nothing here is tracking you
There are no cookies. There is no analytics package of any description, no advertising or remarketing tag, no social pixel, no session recorder, no heatmap, no chat widget, no embedded video, and no web fonts loaded from anyone else. The typefaces are served from this domain.
There is also no JavaScript on these pages, not a reduced amount but none, which means there is nothing running in your browser that could observe what you do here even in principle. You do not have to take that on faith. Open your browser's developer tools, load any page on this site, and count the network requests. They all point at this domain.
What the form receives
The quote form is the only thing on the site that collects anything. If you submit it, we receive:
- Your name and a phone number. Both required, for the obvious reason that a callback needs somewhere to go.
- An email address, only if you want to give one. The field is optional and submitting without it works normally.
- The service you picked from the list and whatever you write in the details box.
Three further items are recorded automatically rather than typed: the time your request arrived, the user-agent string your browser sends to every site it visits, and the two-letter country code Cloudflare works out from your connection. Your IP address itself is not stored.
One further item is calculated rather than recorded. Each submission is scored for whether it reads as a sales pitch instead of a genuine inquiry, using the wording of the message together with that country code, and anything scoring as a pitch is marked and never forwarded to the chimney company. That gathers nothing new about you and deletes nothing: a real inquiry marked by mistake stays in the database and stays retrievable, which is the reason it is marked and not thrown away.
We never ask for a date of birth, income, Social Security number, or any card or bank detail, and there is nowhere on this site to enter them. Nothing about a chimney requires that information, and a site in this line of work that asks for it is worth closing.
Where it goes, and who pays
Your details go to one local chimney company that covers Plano, so somebody can call you back about what you asked. That company pays for the introduction; you pay nothing to us and never will. This is stated on the about page as well, because a commercial interest that is disclosed once in a policy nobody reads is not really disclosed.
Your details are not sold. They do not go to a lead aggregator, a data broker, a marketing list, or a pool of contractors bidding against each other for your call. One request goes to one company.
Storage and retention
The site runs on Cloudflare's network, so Cloudflare handles requests to it as our hosting provider. Form submissions are written to a database on that same network, located in North America, and then passed to the company. Your inquiry does not go anywhere beyond Cloudflare and that company.
It is kept while the inquiry is live and for a short period afterwards, so we can confirm you were actually contacted. If you would rather it went sooner than that, say so and it will.
Getting it deleted
Use the contact form, include enough to identify the original request (the phone number you used is usually plenty) and say what you want removed. If you do not hear back, please ask again rather than assuming it was handled.
Children
Nothing on this site is directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
If this changes
The date at the top of this page changes with it. This page gets re-read whenever the form changes, because the form is the only part of the site that collects anything at all.
